Hélène Heath believes in fashion over reason
The Brooklyn-based style maven, social media consultant, and blogger's chic sensibility and eye for aesthetics have us crushing hard. In our first StyleLink.it lookbook, we spent a day in Hélène's (stylish) shoes and talked style resolutions, transitional dressing, and her tried-and-true sartorial and beauty essentials.

“ When it comes to getting dressed, I usually grab the first thing I see that makes sense for my schedule that day. If it takes me more than five minutes to pick my outfit, then it tends to feel wrong and throws me off. My biggest dilemma usually presents itself when deciding what shoes to wear. One of my top resolutions this year is to get organized. Right now my closet is a bit all over the place and overflowing. I'm in desperate need of tightening things up. Clutter gives me anxiety, and I'm currently over-indexing on it! As for actual items I want to wear, I'm aiming to be more adventurous with color and prints.”
tips & tricks
I have three fail-proof tricks
to feel instantly refreshed if I have a midday meeting or after work event.
“First, I reapply some concealer under my eyes and swipe some lipstick on both my cheeks and my lips to be brought back from the dead - usually Glossier Generation-G in Crush, Zip, or Leo, depending on what I'm wearing. Second, I swap out my footwear for something a little more spiffy. And finally, I add a few spritzes of perfume for a finishing touch (I'm wearing Glossier You these days).”
“For the longest time I shied away from color and print...
and I'm actually excited to wear brighter shades and fun patterns this year. The colors red, yellow, and purple (ultraviolet!) have especially been feeling fresh to me. I also want to add more maxi dresses and architectural jewelry to my repertoire. Finally, as a footwear enthusiast, I'm keen on the western revival bringing new fun variations on the cowboy boot.”
